Where are you in terms of Staff Wellbeing?

It’s generally accepted that a happy employee is a more productive one. They come to work energised and looking forward to doing their best and feel rewarded at the end of the day, with energy to enjoy their other life – with their family and friends or enjoying the hobbies and interests which they, and we all, live for.

Conversely, an uninspired employee is drained of energy before and after work, and does not enjoy their work life. They probably aren’t getting the most from their home life either. These employees will be more frequently sick or become victims of presenteeism.

Where are your employees in regard to this? Are they motivated and energetic. Are they innovative and freely suggesting ways to improve the way that your business operates? When they are at work, are they representing their authentic self? Or do they assume a different “work” persona which takes energy to maintain?

Do you encourage this?

As a leader, do you encourage free speech and openness? Is there trust across all levels of the business?

Does your team enjoy a feeling of common purpose and a sense of belonging?

All these things have a direct impact on the productivity of your business? A direct link between optimising your customer service, and ensuring that your KPIs are met and exceeded.

If you are experiencing a high level of attrition, or you feel that your staff aren’t as engaged as you’d like them to be (perhaps high levels of absenteeism or presenteeism), it is worth taking an independent psychosocial safety survey (InteChange has a partnership with an organisation and can assist you in the process) to see where you currently are. Once you have an idea of the current situation, we can help you develop strategies to improve this and consequently improve your business performance.

Being independent, the survey will be received with less scepticism by your workforce, and this initial work will not impact on your time. Going forward, the strategies will be developed in such a way to change your working day, rather than add to it. Your managers and leaders will be able to spend more time on your business and it’s people while the trusted workforce operate in the business.

Contact InteChange to find out more, and to start your journey to improved business results and a more engaged workforce.
